Comments:
We have a large master bathroom with a large soaking tub that we never used in the 13 years that we lived in the house. We wanted to remove the tub and install a walk-in shower. The entire bathroom had to be gutted. They were very careful to keep the mess to a minimum. At the end of each day the cleaned up the work area. All new plumbing and electrical work was roughed-in,Then the drywall, and ceramic tile was installed and ceramic tile shower with seat. They suggested many great features for the shower including how to keep the window in the shower area. All the ceramic tile work was first class. They helped us with the tile pattern. We also replaced the vanity with a Kraftmaid vanity and toilet with a Kohler unit. The old shower area was turned into linen shelving, we also eliminated the existing linen closet. The bathroom exceeded our expectations. All the craftsmen were very professional and Kevin Taylor, the owner, coordinated the work flow beautifully. The project was completed in 23 days including painting our bedroom, which we added to the scope after the work had commenced. We are extremely happy with the work they did and we will definitely use them when we remodel our kitchen.

Taylor Made repaired significant damage to my home that was caused when a tree fell on my house during Hurricane Irene.  Throughout the long drawn out process of dealing with insurance company Kevin was a saint and the one bright spot in the entire ordeal.  He patiently dealt with the insurance adjusters until the entire process was completed and all needed repairs were approved.  The various workers that came to the house were the nicest group of guys and always polite and professional!  My house is finally back together and looks great.  I would highly recommend Taylor Made Contracting.

Work Completed Date: August 31, 2010

Approximate Cost: $57,000.00

Description Of Work:
Complete renovation of two bathrooms including 50% expansion of one bathroom and relocation of laundry to basement. Our 2 daughter’s bathroom was expanded to accommodate a second sink and vanity. Our Master bathroom was completely redesigned and updated. High end fixtures and materials were used in both bathrooms including granite and marble counter tops, Italian tile on floor and showers, and glass shower doors.

Comments:
Overall experience was great. We had little experience and less time and ability design/decorate the bathrooms. Kevin Taylor acted as both a contractor and designer/decorator in helping us make decisions right down to the knobs on the cabinets. He showed a lot of patience with us throughout the process. They are a full service custom contracting operation handling all subcontractors and every aspect of the job. We were very comfortable with his crew and subcontractors being in our house. All of the workers were professional and polite. We would strongly recommend them.

Comments:
I LOVE MY NEW BATHROOM!!! Every time I go into it, I think of how happy I am with the finished product. It far exceeds my expectations. As the crew started to demolish the existing bathroom, hidden problems arose which needed to be addressed before work continued. We had mold, mildew, previous water damage which ruined the subfloor and termites. If that wasn’t enough, because we were installing a shower pan instead of a tub, they had to move the entire door frame down the wall, 6 inches. The project manager was in constant contact with us, explained every issue in detail and offered solutions for every problem. We were grateful that we chose Taylor Made because another contractor could have left us out to dry. Not only was the process handled well, but the final product was absolutely beautiful. The crew was punctual and enthusiastic. They had our best interest at heart and really took pride in their work.

Description Of Work:
We had our basement remodeled. We added a full bath with a large tile shower and beautiful French styled shower doors. There is lots of lighting and they made sure there would be a lot of heating since it is a basement bathroom. The main basement area is mostly carpeted and tiles in front of outside doors. We had a French door there and it had water damage to it. We planed on getting it replaced at some point, but they saw it and told us since it was an Anderson door it had a guarantee plan and Kevin looked into it for us and was able to get us a bran new replacement door for free. That was great. They also put in a small wet bar with a sink, granite top and cabinet. We had a counter height half wall added between the 2 support poles to make a place for entertainment, It’s 15 ft x 2 ft with a beautiful granite counter top to match the wet bar. It’s wonderful when we have parties. You can walk all the way around it and there is extra outlets and cabinets for storage and beautiful lighting. They made a separate area for out Big Screen TV and its dark and perfect to watching movies. It has a large tray ceiling over it and it’s like a room, but yet part of the basement. It’s all very open yet very cozy.

Comments:
It went well. They were here on time every morning and cleaned up when they left. The only problem we had was it was started 2 months before Christmas and it was hard having it all going on with the Holidays. It had to be done before Christmas since we were having a large family Christmas party, Christmas day. It was done one week before. And the party was a huge success. They also did a few things around the house like changing light fixtures for us and moving some furniture back into the basement before they finished. All in all it was a positive experience and they work they did was really nice and has added value to our home.

Comments:
Our experience with this contractor greatly exceeded our expectations. The work was completed on time and within budget. The quality of the workmanship and attention to detail were exceptional. The owner, workers and subcontractors were all courteous and very professional. Communications between us and the contractor were excellent and they were extremely responsive to our needs. Great pains were taken to make sure we were satisfied throughout the entire process. We are especially thrilled with how the shower turned out given the uncertainty of what would be found once the old shower was demolished. We would use Taylor Made again without reservation and would recommend them to others.

Description Of Work:
Taylor made added a sunroom & fireplace to our house. It was very custom.

Comments:
Excellent experience. They were very professional and very good to deal with. Very high quality people and work. Even our dogs liked them! They worked with us to come up with a design that would work at a cost we could afford. This was a very custom job since we were adding a fireplace and pizza oven into a new sunroom which was 12′ off the ground. Most contractors either bid very high or turned down the job. Mr. Taylor took the time to understand what we wanted and what was possible then came back with a very competitive bid. Their people were neat and very friendly. We were very happy to have them and would highly recommend them.

Work Completed Date: August 22, 2006

Approximate Cost: $6,000.00

Home Build Year: 1990

Description Of Work:
Enclose open loft room on second story to make a private bedroom. Remove railing where new wall will go and cap stairway railing leading to new wall. Extend crown molding in new room. Install closet (shelves and rods) in cut-out space. Wire and install ceiling fan. Put up door and paint ceiling. Paint foyer so the new wall blends in with the rest of the house.

Comments:
Very responsive and well priced. Returned my calls quickly and scheduled an appointment at my convenience. The estimate was in the middle of the pack, cost-wise, but Taylor Made was able to do the job when I wanted it done, unlike his competitors, and promised to complete it within my time constraints. The crew showed up when they said they would and worked diligently the entire time they were on the job. They explained what was going on each day and made up time lost due to faulty materials (which were disposed of). Completed the job right on schedule, even though I asked for a little extra work, which was reasonably priced. The crew cleaned up after themselves and never left a mess outside of the room being worked on (and that was cleaned up as soon as the work allowed). The new wall is seamless and looks better than the other walls in the house. The paint job to bring it all together was flawless. We are proud to show off the new room and my daughter is tickled to occupy it.
